Hi there, I'm new to this forum
I hoped other members could assist me a turbo problem with my Passat 1.9 TDI 180k miles.
I was driving along at 50-60 when I had a sudden loss of power and smoke.
As soon as I tried to rev it, I could here a metallic grinding sound.
I drove the car in limp mode, car was smoking and the coil light came on the dashboard.

Check vacuum pipes, actuator, turbo inlet pipe and check rotor condition.
Any oil inside the turbine is mean the turbo is gone
Sometimes the turbo is failure because the carbon is builder inside the VNT
You will need flush the turbocharger
Most of English mechanics will request new turbocharger
English mechanics are useless:)

And don't use fitters from Pakistan and India
There no education and technology
I took my Passat 1.9TDI fo turbo replacement that was Asian garage
They overcharged me and doesn't do anything!

Martin and Lukas know what they're talking about.

They're honest, professional and not rip off merchants like some who think they're turbo specialists.

Their premises is fuss free and their advice is sound.

They sorted out the turbo on our E46 320td and they kept the old worn parts for me to inspect upon collection of the vehicle.

The vanes had got stuck half way and the turbo compressor wheel had play causing the loud siren noise.

It's now sorted, 5 stars, and thoroughly recommended.

Thank you very much.

Very good rewievs

Top guys took my Passat 1.9 TDI there this morning before work.

Turbo fault was diagnosed within a few minutes.

Great customer service and these guys.

They didn't fob me off like most garages tend to do.

These guys are driven by raising standards on customer service.

The guys at Best Turbos know their stuff through and through.

The great mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service beats is what has now retained me as a life long customer.

The price for turbo regeneration and fitting was extremely competitive too.
