BMW 535D m sport loose of power black smoke

Post by WilliamKax » Mon Aug 07, 2017 9:25 am

Good Morning

I got problem with my BMW 535D m sport, last Monday I have had short stay limp mode, car lost all power on motorway.

I turn off engine and on again everything back to normal. I noticed lots of black smoke come from my exhaust when I accelerate.

Yesterday this problem comes again. Please let me know what’s happened.

This is turbo?

I got 2 turbos. Local mechanic told me, "one of the turbo boosting not properly and coming under boost.

I think he says something about small turbo, but is not too sure.

Independent BMW specialists say something different – big turbo.

I’m looking for somebody who can properly diagnose my car.

I want solve my problem.

Thanks

No boost on a 535D m sport?

Common fault is a small turbo, vacuum problem or faulty turbo bearing or seal

Check turbo pipes and vacuum, no vacuum no boost

is any oil there arround the turbo?

No white smoke! No burn oil, maybe just vacuum ?
